As a Lead Security & Network Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and securing the network infrastructure that powers our Unreal Engine projects. You’ll develop and maintain secure multiplayer networking solutions, prevent vulnerabilities, optimize server performance, and ensure compliance with best security practices. Your expertise in encryption, DDoS mitigation, authentication systems, and Unreal Engine’s networking framework will be crucial in delivering a seamless and secure online experience. Responsibilities
Manage a team of 5+ security and network engineers to ensure the security of survival game infrastructure.
Identify, assess, and mitigate vulnerabilities in network components, game servers, and game applications.
Deploy and utilize security tools to identify and resolve issues across a variety of game systems and applications.
Conduct security monitoring, vulnerability assessments, and forensic log analysis to proactively detect security incidents and threats in the game environment.
Enforce network security policies and procedures to protect sensitive player and game data.
Install and maintain network equipment such as switches, routers, and firewalls for secure, scalable game infrastructure.
Implement and manage network security components, including next-generation firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems (IDS/IPS).
Maintain comprehensive documentation regarding network hardware and software used in game infrastructure.
Assist in the technical design and implementation of secure network architectures for survival game environments.
Perform regular technical security audits to ensure network and game system safety.
Develop best practices for securing game servers, user data, and critical game assets, and ensure documentation is up-to-date.
Design and implement security baselines for game server operating systems and ensure secure game environments.
Educate and train team members and stakeholders on information system security best practices within the game industry.
Investigate and utilize new technologies, tools, and techniques to enhance the security capabilities and performance of game servers and infrastructure.
Work closely with the IT management team on the company’s information security strategy, ensuring alignment with survival game needs.
Participate in the change management workflow to safely implement updates and patches in the live game environment.
Oversee incident handling procedures and ensure security incident reporting is efficient and effective.
Requirements
5+ years of relevant experience working in IT security, with a focus on securing game infrastructure.
Experience managing a team of 5+ engineers in a fast-paced, complex environment.
Expert knowledge of network design, systems protocols, and game server security.
Experience in WAN/LAN technologies, including ethernet, fiber, and MPLS.
Experience working in datacenter environments and maintaining game server infrastructure.
Strong background in the design, configuration, and troubleshooting of routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, VRF) in a gaming context.
Proven experience with enterprise network switching, routers, firewalls, and network security systems for game infrastructure.
Familiarity with Cisco and Palo Alto hardware/software.
Knowledge of multiple security domains, including vulnerability assessments and penetration testing within a game development environment.
Proven ability to implement proper system security controls and performance metrics for IT systems and game infrastructure security.
Deep understanding of security frameworks and industry best practices for game systems.
Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken.

Experience with securing multi-site game infrastructure.
AWS experience for securing cloud-based game servers.
Experience with automation platforms such as Terraform and Ansible for game server security.
Experience with scripting to automate network and server security tasks.
